spreadin' the sugar

oh, and we spread a lot...

That's Patrick...

And a mean gingerbread man

and a bleeding red reindeer

and a reindeer with a few red noses and belly full of grass...

We're still deciding which ones are for Santa.
Ho, ho, ho...

Christmas Curator

This is a little round-up of Christmas-y things I've loved this past week or so:

(She's truly this lovely in person. And thanks for reading my little blog, I love you so much!!)

Need some gift giving guidance? Click here.

This has nothing to do with Christmas but is the best video I have ever seen
(and I should know, I spent an unfathomable amount of my youth watching MTV. Back when they only played music videos. Like hours. Every day).

Watch it.

(I know it seems indulgent to watch music videos on your computer but do it anyway. I firmly believe if everyone would watch, say this, instead of the "news" every morning with their coffee the world would be a better place.

And, (I hate to seem bossy, but) play it in full screen view. They took the time to create this awesomeness, you have to see it up close:) Uh, and so, if you are viewing this on your phone, walk straight to a computer and view it there. This deserves more than a phone viewing.
Geez, I really am bossy, and so close to Christmas.

Awe inspiring as usual.
We heart zoo lights...

Followed by a delicious stop @ our favorite burger joint.

Woody took Maya to church yesterday for a kindergarten gathering to make gingerbread houses.

This is her creation.

Pretty epic, right?
Maya's dream come true is a room full of sugar treats to nibble and lick her way through that can also be used as construction materials.

Friday night we went to our City of B'ton tree lighting ceremony at the library so we could mingle with Santa, listen to carolers, and make a couple reindeer antlers.

Today we get the tree and decorate and then off to Zoo Lights tonight.

Oh, we've got the holiday spirit all right!
Hope you do too.

Maya's tree

Maya adopted that little tree there for a class project.
She's documenting the changes and reporting back to her class periodically.

She talks about that sweet little tree a lot.

In other kindergarten news:
At dinner tonight we were talking about Santa.

Maya told us that two girls in her class, Sophie and Stella, don't believe there is a Santa.
They believe their mom and dad sneak down the stairs at night and put the presents out.

Owen interrupted with, "no way, who do they think eats all the cookies and milk?"

Maya said, "they think the parents do that too."

So Owen said, "why would they put cookies out for themselves?"

Then Woody and I joined in to sort of change the subject.

She's only 5...I was on board 'til 10.

Speaking of Santa...I saw this clip today and it made me happy.
We love Jimmy Fallon's show.

Hope you're enjoying the season!
